Ms CANDY
Ms. Candy strted dancing as a preschooler. She danced with the Miss Frances School of Dance and also studied in New York City at Hatchett-Hines Dance Center and Broadway Dance Center. Ms. Candy also has theater training ,attendingh the University of Hartford .She established The Can-Dance Studio in Coventry in 1978. Ms .Candy developed the FKO ( for kids only) program for our preschoolers and teaches tap, jazz, ballet and pointe, contemporary, acro dance, theater dance, and drama. She continues to be a mentor to our students to help them develop both as dancers and strong leaders in their chosen paths.
MS HEATHER
Ms.. Heather danced at The Can- Dance Studio for 15 years. After graduating from E.O. Smith High School, she attended East Carolina University where she was the captain of the dance team. Ms. Heather graduated with B.F.A. in Dance Education and returned to Coventry to join our staff and teaches tap, ballet, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, and acro dance. Ms. Heather is talented with a dynamic teaching style and we are fortunate to have her on staff. Her choreography is fresh and her technique is on point. The students love to take her classes and appreciate her dedication to dance.
MS EVELYN
Ms. Evelyn danced at The Can-Dance Studio for 11 years. After graduating Coventry High School, she graduated Westfield State College, where she was a member of the Westfield State Dance Company, dancing jazz, tap, ballet, and choreographing. For the past 6 years, Ms. Evelyn has been a 3rd grade teacher at Philip R. Smith School in South Windsor. Ms. Evelyn joined our staff last year teaching FKO, tap, ballet and jazz combo classes. She also teaches Zumba at the studio and has been a Certified Zumba Instructor for the past 5 years. We welcome back Ms. Evelyn to our staff and love her energy, positivity, and commitment to
her students.
